Magna Carta Libertatum and the autumn conference in London of ABA ILS where lawyers of KIELTYKA GLADKOWSKI KG LEGAL are members

The fall conference of the International Section of the largest American legal organization, the AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION, is underway in London: 2024 ILS Fall Conference “100 years of the ABA in the United Kingdom: Tradition , Innovation and Influence”.

As part of the conference-related events , participants are currently admiring one of the certified copies of an English document dated 1215 issued by King John the Landless.

It is called Magna Charta Libertatum (or Magna Carta), or the Great Charter of Liberties or The Great Charter of Freedoms (English: The Great Charter) – To this day, in Anglo-Saxon legislation, the Great Charter of Liberties is considered to be the foundation of the constitutional order and a guarantee of civil liberties, as well as the beginning of British democracy.

The Conference takes place from November 13 to 15, 2024 organized by the organization in which our lawyers serve in one of the committees of the international section (Chair and Co-Chair International Life Sciences and Health Law Committee). The conference topics are focused on program tracks including:

a. competition law;

b. corporate transactions and finance – regulatory challenges, risk mitigation, international taxes;

c. dispute resolution/arbitration – class action lawsuits, litigation financing;

d. geopolitics, law and the rule of law – global mobility, sanctions, trade, international taxation, ESG, BHR, elections, national security, CFIUS;

e. intellectual property, data protection/privacy, digital assets (crypto, blockchain).
